For a newborn son and young dual-earner married couple, this is "first wooden house in Tokyo realized by Studio PRANA, using only wood from Tama. In addition to the construction budget and six months limit period and half-timbered house as conditions were pretty tough hands. Reduced to minimal facilities, with simple 4X4 rooms this is a house with a big roof leaning southeast. In the southeast corner there is a loft, and under this there is a stairwell that connects the first floor living room with second floor free space. In winter a pellet stove warms the whole house. It is a house surrounded by cedar and cypress of Ome.
